NEW
LIFE
|
Below is a poem I
wrote my wife when we were expecting
our first son AND our first wedding anniversary.
I came
across it the other day just by chance. While reading it, I
was flooded by the memories of days when things were so
simple.
Life was easier. Now
we've got Cameron AND Cole
(his little brother) - I
didn't even mention Chris and Colin –
the older two. Whew!
Now we go constantly. It seems we never slow down. I often say that we have already lived a lifetime in the few short years we've been married. And we truly have. One day things will slow down and again I'll find this poem. And again, I'll be flooded with memories. Only then, there will be more, they will be richer and I will surely appreciate them more.
I believe we come to appreciate the most important things as we age.
Please read the poem below and think back to your relationships.
Think back to when
things were more simple. If your life is
fairly simple now, enjoy.
Hopefully, this will inspire you to want to do something for your significant other and you will be taken back to the beginning of that relationship.
Hopefully, it will
spark the initial flame that will cause you
to want to be a little more "lovey dovey" this week.
If you like it, please let me know.

NEW LIFE
By: Mark Thompson
In the last days of
the last year
A new century would soon be here
We started our life, and our love was free
From here, what was our life to be
We had no one else but each other
But soon we would have yet another
With hand in hand we
planted a seed
God created life Now I must plead
I pray for wisdom; wisdom in You
I know this prayer is much overdue
I don't seem to have a great record on hand
But in my life his life will depend
Suspended in the balance of eternity soon
With help from God he'll inherit the moon
Not by my might but from blessings above
God will show me wisdom
And from wisdom, I'll show him love.
Our family will live
a life that will show
God*s way was the way we decided to go
And when we pass, one by one
Our life on this earth will be done
Spirits will live with Christ on high
Not living on earth, but never to die.
